Working on the pew pew


Over the past few days, I’ve been exploring and prototyping the core Doom-esque movement/mechanics.

I know that I think from the explorations, that we’d like it to be inspired by Doom. But the exploring has lead it somewhere else.

The first time exploring. Making aim assisted mechanics.

Then I thought, why not add a dummy gun mesh and start from there.

Adding the gun mesh really helped exploring the projectiles.

Then the realization was… We need pick up and drop! Let’s start implementing it.
